Montepulciano: in the province of Siena, it is known mainly for its impressive renaissance buildings and for the “Nobile Wine”.In fact it’s possible to visit the Etruscan cellars every day (there is also a thermal spa – see thermal baths).

Pienza: between Montepulciano and Montalcino, a medieval town from the fifteenth century; a jewel of the renaissance in the heart of Tuscany. Things to see: the Duomo, Piazza Pio II, Palazzo Borgia, the Church of San Francesco.

Montalcino: famous for its wine “Brunello di Montalcino”, it is situated on an enchanting hill of 564 metres above sea level maintaining its unchanged charm of an old medieval town. Its territory is part of the natural and Cultural Artistic park of Valle d’Orcia.
Monteriggioni: again on the road to Siena you will find Monteriggioni, an old medieval town surrounded by walls erected in the XIII° century. Here, once a year, at the start of the summer, an enjoyable Medieval Party takes place, in which you can relive the spirit of those times. It’s recommended to visit San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Siena in the same day.
Volterra: the city of alabaster, in which it’s possibile to admire Piazza dei Priori, the Cathedral and the etruscan archeological sites.
Pistoia: easily reached following the autostrada del sole. It has a little historical centre situated around one of the most harmonic medieval squares of Italy and characterised by narrow streets with small shops and a picturesque market.
San Galgano Abbey: not far from the motorway to Massa Marittima – Siena, the striking structure of the abbey, also famous for the absence of its roof.
Versilia: reachable following the autostrada del sole, it’s the closest coastline to Florence. The Versilia unites the splendid Apuane Alps with the sea, where beautiful bathing establishments edged with fine sand are found one after another . Things to see: the famous marble cave, from which Michelangelo took the stone for David, together with many towns like Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Massa e Massa Carrara.
